Indian government is becoming a spokesperson for fascism: K. Rajan

The government is trying to create communal polarization by destroying the pluralism that is essential for the survival, integrity and unity of the country. Inaugurating the public meeting, Revenue and Housing Minister K. Rajan said that cultural defenses should be raised in the country to resist and defeat the dangerous attempts of the government to destroy secularism and turn the country into a religious state.

 

The 56th annual meeting of the Joint Council got off to a brilliant start with a public meeting at the Palakkad Fort Ground. The flagpole, flag, banner and torch were received at the meeting.

Thousands of employees lined up in the procession that started from Victoria College Junction in Palakkad. Joint Council General Secretary Jayashchandran Kallingal received the torch. The cultural conference held at Kottamaithani was inaugurated by Revenue and Housing Minister K. Rajan. State President of Yuva Kala Sahithi Alankode Leelakrishnan delivered the keynote address on the topic of Humans in a Religious Nation. CPI Palakkad District Secretary KP Suresh Raj presided over the event. Joint Council State Secretariat Member M. C. Gangadharan welcomed the gathering. AITUC State Vice President Vijayan Kunissery, AIYF State President N. Arun and Joint Council Chairman KP Gopakumar offered their greetings. Joint Council Palakkad District Secretary P. D. Anilkumar expressed his vote of thanks. The representative conference, which will begin at V. R. Beenamol Nagar tomorrow, will be inaugurated by CPI State Secretary Binoy Viswam. Food and Public Distribution Minister GR Anil, AITUC State General Secretary KP Rajendran and others will address the gathering.
